For several years now, organizations have undertaken enterprise-wide transformations to address the disruptive forces that have fundamentally altered the business landscape. As part of these transformations, organizations have built global and/or regional shared service centers. This consolidation of data administration and processing of tasks across countries allows them to improve consistency within historically segmented and burdensome processes, such as payroll administration.
Based on 2017 results, we now see 80% of organizations using a shared services approach, with just over half of them using a regional model.
