For 26% of organizations, cost is the number one consideration when selecting a new workforce or time and attendance provider. The ability to both configure the solution to meet complex business policies and integrate self-service and workflow functionality that improves the manager and employee experience round out the top three criteria organizations consider.

Interestingly, data security and privacy was listed as being among the top two criteria for only 17% of survey respondents, which appears lower than expected at a time when data security is at the forefront of company agendas and the broader media. We believe this will increase, especially in light of the release of the General Data Protection Regulation in Europe, creating additional scrutiny around the way employee data is leveraged within the organization.
